Suspecting that the alternator output was less than adequate, Lee Teicheira and Bill Lawrence checked the voltage at several locations in the system then isolated the alternator, started the engine and took a reading directly from the alternator. A reading of 12.2 volts was obtained, which agreed with the reading on the EFIS. Not as much as was anticipated but adequate to keep the battery fully charged.
Rechecked for oil leaks at the valve covers and none were observed.
